Hi all,
I've been busy working on version 1.7, which will be a rather major update. It is not quite ready yet, but here are some of the new features you will find:
- brand new interface (clearer, prettier and more responsive), with icon bar
- batch processing
- load and save drawing parameters
- drag and drop image file on the application icon
- drag and drop image file on the source image pane
- optimised median filter (painting 3 rendering is now twice as fast)
- realistic frames
- add text to the drawing (signature, date, description...)
- possibility to cancel an operation
- no more freezes
- faster 'increase colour saturation' algorithm
- smooth resize source image to any size
- drag images with the mouse
Best regards,
David

Hello David,
I discovered fotosketcher recently, thanks to another member of a web site I'm on.I'm on a bit of a learning curve with it am really enjoying playing with it so I just wanted to thank you for coming up with it.I've already put a couple of pictures on Paintbox pictures, one of the blogs I take part in.On this blog,we manipulate our own photos and we always state which programme we use so, of course, I have said that I am using fotosketcher.Anyway, thank you again.
Hi Angie,
Thank you for your kind comment.
I'm glad you like FotoSketcher and hopefully the next version will be even better!
Best regards,
David
Hi David,
Just thought I'd let you know that a couple more members on Paintbox Pictures have tried fotosketcher and they are as impressed with it as I am.Keep up the good work!
Cheers
Angie
Hi Angie,
I've looked at the photos on Paintbox (http://twigley.blogspot.com/) and I really like them. It's rewarding to see images transformed with FotoSketcher.
Best regards,
David
Hi David
I host Paintbox Pictures and just want you know how well your program is going down there.... I really need to buy you that coffee.
Tom
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your nice message. I really like the photos you host.
Check my next post for examples of the new one-click 'realistic frame' feature in the upcoming version of FotoSketcher. I think it adds a little flair to the paintings.
Best regards,
David
