FotoSketcher 2.25 beta available

Hi all,

I have just uploaded a beta version of FotoSketcher 2.25.
You can get it here: http://www.fotosketcher.com/FotoSketcher_beta.exe

Apart from a few bug fixes, the main new feature is the 'Emergence' effect (an evolution of the 'shattered glass' filter).

As usual, I welcome your feedback and would be glad to hear from you if you find any bugs!

All the best,

David

Fotosketcher 2.25 beta keeps crashing on install - Win 7 home premium 32bit.

Hi,

There is no install for FotoSketcher 2.25 beta. It is a standalone program. Just save the exe file somewhere to your hard drive and run it from there. If the program still crashes, do you get an error message? For further investigation, don't hesitate to contact me via the following page: http://www.fotosketcher.com/contact-us/

Hi David!
I am experiencing the same problem as "Anonymous". Windows shows a message box which states "FotoSketcher has stopped working and will close".

Hi Lance,

Thanks for the info. I will look into it and test on different PCs to see if I can reproduce the problem. In the meantime, you can try running as administrator and maybe also in compatibility mode.

I've run some tests and the beta version works fine on 2 PCs with Windows 7 64 bit, but I got an integer overflow message on a Windows XP 32 bit machine. That might explain the crash on your PCs. Thanks for warning me. Now it's bug hunting time!

Works for me here on a full x64 win7 and a self-edited cut down version of the same (RT7Lite, down to about 1.4G dvd) (so the cut outs did not affect Fotosketcher225).

looks like a fully 32bit problem?

Good luck on the bug hunting.

The new effect is nice. I mus admit I'm interested more in seeing your 'stroke work (damn that reads weird now..)LOL!

Hi Barry,

LOL, reading your comment I nearly had... a stroke!

I've just uploaded a new beta (time 11:45 pm GMT+1).
I no longer have an error on my 32bit Windows XP netbook, so hopefully the bug is now gone.

Hi Zakir,

I see that the bug is still there... It's going to be difficult to hunt down as I can't reproduce it. I'll work on it.
