FotoSketcher has just been updated to version 3.10. As usual, you can download the official version (with setup or standalone) here: http://www.fotosketcher.com/download-fotosketcher/
This is a maintenance release, with quite a few bug fixes, optimizations and interface improvements. Here are some of the changes:
- the DPI default value has been set to 300 for better printing quality.
- although transparency in PNG images (alpha channel) is not supported by FotoSketcher, transparent pixels will no longer appear black. They will now be converted to white pixels (much prettier!).
- the donation screen (coffee cup icon) has been simplified and will lead to a unified PayPal screen.
- when using JPG images, the compression quality has been improved for fewer artifacts (save to PNG or BMP if you want maximum image quality).
- a visual bug with the Emergence 2 effect has been corrected. Sometimes the preview image would be pasted to the main result image in the top left corner.
- some z-order problems have been solved.
- a memory leak has been hunted down and solved.
- when running a script (F5), FotoSketcher will be automatically minimized until the end of the process. If you wish to see the script running, just click on the FotoSketcher icon in the Windows task bar.

Hello David! I am very much wanting to download this program and give it try, however I am confused on which download to choose: Download from official mirror (or) Direct download> What is the difference, please? Thank you so much!

Both links enable you to download the same version of FotoSketcher (full install).
If you choose the official mirror, this gives you the best download speed from all over the world and saves bandwidth from my server.
If it doesn't work for whatever reason, you can click on the direct download link (the file is hosted on my server).

Hi David, Just downloaded your program v3.4 and this is my first encounter with Fotosketcher ... the main menu (i.e. the bar menu on the top won't show ... can you help please? Many thanks
Hi, this is a very rare bug that was reported to me a while back. I don't know the cause, but there are a few things you could try: first, make sure you use the 64bit version of FotoSketcher. Then run it as admin. Finally, use the INSERT key on your keyboard to cycle through all 3 colour themes. This might help the menu to come back. If all fails, you can still use most of the programs functions using the icons in the menu bar or by right-clicking on the left or right images and using some of the shortcut keys (F10 to open the drawing parameters, CTRL+O to open a file, CTRL+S to save an image, etc...).
