Hi all,
As you may know, I've started working again on the full rewrite of FotoSketcher to make it multi-platform (and with a more modern and clean codebase).
The desktop (Windows and MacOS) user interface is progressing well, with most basic features now working.
Here is a snapshot of the future interface (placements of many elements will change).
Still a long road ahead, but progress is steady.
As for porting the effects, I currently have three or four that are working, but still need optimizing.
A new black and white stippling/dithering effect is now almost ready, here is an example (click on image to see full scale):

Looking good David. Did you take the landscape image? The painting effect is perfect for it...
Thanks, Mark :) Alas, my photography skills are not that good, but I agree that this image looks pretty good as a painting!
Hi David, I wanted to give you a shout out for all the great work you are doing followed with a question about fotosketcher - will there ever be alpha channel support? Thank!
Hi Martin, Thanks :) And indeed the new version is working with 32bit bitmaps internally, so wherever I can, the alpha channel wil be supported.
Thanks, David! Glad to know your work is getting better and better!
Thank you :)
@Abdel : oui, la sauvegarde en .png conservera le canal alpha s'il est présent ;)
