FotoSketcher 3.70 is officially released

Hi all,

FotoSketcher 3.70 is now officially released. Head over to https://fotosketcher.com/download-fotosketcher/ to download.

This release is a bug fix edition which solves a number of small and not so small annoyances. This download is recommended if you are experiencing issues with version 3.60.

Bug fix list:

 - solved the occasional error message in French at startup ("n'est pas une valeur entière")
- solved the issue where on a few machines (on some PCs and Macs using WineHQ), the optimized code for rotating images and brushes did not work correctly (it breaks Pencil Sketch 1 and Painting 4).
- for Linux and MacOS users, FotoSketcher should now run correctly under WineHQ and Crossover
- fixed the drop down menus and icons which did not appear correctly in WineHQ
- in Painting 4, the directory for custom brushes is now saved to avoid unnecessary navigating between folders
- the main window position is now saved between uses
- fixed the dropdown effects menu which sometimes prevented using the vintage or the merge images effect
- fixed the Pencil Sketch 2 preview which was not accurate
- probably added a bunch new bugs. Will fix in v3.80 ;)

Have fun!

David

Hi any updates on the android version

Hi Zakir,
I have been focused on the windows version (and making it compatible with WineHQ and Codeweaver's CrossOver for MacOS users), so I did not make meuch progress on the Android version. Due to a lot of technical hurdles to overcome, I'm not sure I will have the reosurces to go much further soon, sorry.
Best,
David

Hello David;
Congratulations for this amazing piece, which is getting better by every release.
As I was working on my New Year's card, I just noticed that when we save parameters, we don't save them just for the current drawing style, but for all of the styles.
For those who want to play with the .FSK file (especially useful for scripts), here are the cross references (I've not been able to find - yet? - how and where the custom brushes parameters were save). #xx refers to the sequence number of the style in the drop down selection list.
[0] #01 - Dessin au crayon 1
[1] #02 - Dessin au crayon 2 (n&b)
[2] #03 - Dessin au crayon 2 (couleur)
[3] #07 - Dessin à l'encre 1
[4] #09 - Peinture 1 (aquarelle)
[5] #10 - Peinture 2 (coups de pinceaux)
[6] #11 - Peinture 3 (filtre median + bilateral)
[7] #12 - Peinture 4 (coups de pinceaux)
[8] #13 - Peinture 5 (aquarelle)
[9] #14 - Peinture 6 (peinture à l'huile)
[10] #19 - Pixellisationjavascript:void(0)
[11] #20 - Cercles colorés
[12] #27 - Aviver la photo
[13] #29 - Combiner l'image source et la photo
[14] ???
[15] #15 - Peinture 7 (coups de pinceaux)
[16] #04 - Dessin au pastels à l'huile
[17] #21 - Cartoon 1
[18] #22 - Cartoon 2
[19] #28 - Photo ancienne
[20] #16 - Peinture 8 (pinceau expressif)
[21] #08 - Dessin à l'encre 2
[22] #23 - Emergence
[23] #03 - Dessin au crayon 4
[24] #06 - Dessin au crayon 5
[25] #24 - Emergence 2
[26] #25 - Tramage linéaire
[27] #17 - Peinture 9 (aquarelle)
[28] #18 - Peinture 10 (coups de pinceaux)
[Custom brushes - Painting 4]
Have a great 2021!

Hi,
Thank you for your comment. Indeed the .fsk file saves all the parameters (not only for the current effect). It also saves which effect is selected, so when you load a parameter file it will go to the specified effect automatically. Also, if you use Painting 4 with custom brushes, the full filename (with path) of each brush will ba saved at the end of the .fsk file (in a category called [Custom brushes - Painting 4]).
Happy New Year!
David
