Version 3.96 is nearly ready and is now entering stable beta phase.
From alpha 2, there have been some minor UI changes, a speed improvement for previewing when adding texture and the possibility to change the underpainting (or paper) color in the new Pencil 6 sketch effect.
As with other effects which support colored underpainting, you simply right-click on the preview image and a color picker will appear to choose the paper color.

Hi David, Excellent program! I put a photo that wasn't going to be easy to pencil sketch and first try just amazing. I am running windows 10 and I noticed that the button to save doesn't do anything, I have to go to file save as. Thanks for offering this great program. Pete
Thank you, Pete. It's strange that the save button did not work for you, I just tested and it works fine on my Windows 10 machine. I'll test some more to make sure.
Quick update: I've just reuploaded a slightly modified version of Beta1 (link is the same). This should solve the problem Pete discovered (which only happens when scale setting in Windows is more than 100%).
