FotoSketcher featured in Computeractive magazine!

Hi all,

Some nice news to share: Computeractive, the UK's best-selling computer magazine, has featured FotoSketcher Studio in the "Best Free Software" section of issue 739 (1-14 July 2026).
Reviewer Robert Irvine picked it out as "our favourite free program for applying artistic effects to your photos", which is a lovely thing to read about your own software 😊

The review looked at the newer tools in version 4.30 - the Mosaic, Circles and Triangles effects in the Stylize category, the LUTs colour-grading presets in the Photo lab, the Auto-Enhance shortcut (press E), and the Cartoon filter, which got a special mention.

Thank you to Robert Irvine and the whole Computeractive team!

Whether you're enjoying a nice seaside holiday or suffering through the current heatwave in the UK (and elsewhere!), don't miss the current issue of Computeractive ;)

If you came here from the article, welcome. The current release is FotoSketcher 4.40, a free download for Windows and macOS at fotosketcher.com

Best regards,

David

Congrats on the quote! It must be fantastic to get this kind of recognition about your work, which we all truly appreciate here, by the way.

Hi, you can easily create a portable version from the installed version. In the FotoSketcher Studio folder, just copy fotosketcher.exe, all the .ttf files (optional) and sk4d.dll (mandatory) into a new folder. You can copy this folder anywhere and run FotoSketcher.exe from there.
